Oblò Ukraine: ImmigrazioneOggi broadcast on a new service to meet the Ukrainian community in Italy.

Ukraine: literally "border area", land between the Baltic and the Black Sea, between Europe and Asia, as all border areas, country troubled by the past and still today, despite the proclamation of independence by ' Soviet Union in'91, characterized by strong political and economic uncertainty.

A geographical position, that of Ukraine, which also explains its migration flows.

Each year 15mila workers leave the country: those of the eastern regions, mostly Orthodox and filorussi, emigrating to the east, those areas of western greek-Catholics, towards the West.

In Italy arrive especially women, highly qualified but who find work as carers or colf; out there, unfortunately, cases of victims of trafficking and exploitation of prostitution. The high concentration area, mainly in central and southern areas of the peninsula, is another feature of Ukrainian community in Italy.

But because the Ukrainians, especially women, choose Italy? And why mainly Campania and Lazio? What are the ways they use to keep alive the culture and traditions of the motherland? What difficulties faced by carers? There are developments for recognition of their degrees?
